I suffered from hip pain for 3 years. Saw multiple doctors, did PT, cortisone injections, etc. with no relief. I kept researching hip pain and read about a procedure that could help. Then I found that Dr. Ohlson performed that procedure and made an appointment with him. He viewed a previous MRI and recommended that I try PRP- Platelet Rich Plasma to heal the torn ligament in my hip. He explained that he had experienced success with this treatment. I agreed to try it and had my injection 6 weeks ago. For the first time in 3 years I’m able to go up steps with minimal discomfort. I’m able to do things I couldn’t do before the injection, such as exercise, lift heavy objects, and sleep without being awakened by hip pain. It has now been over a year since my shockwave therapy treatment, and I am delighted to share how successful it has been. Prior to the treatment, there were days when I was almost unable to walk due to the severe pain caused by Achilles tendinitis and plantar fasciitis. Several weeks of wearing an orthopedic boot and undergoing physical therapy did not bring any relief.
